There are many needs arising during this time. Some of which include food, medical and financial stability.
I am here to share with you a comforting word that our Lord spoke to me a few days ago.
He sees you.
He is the God who sees your struggles and is looking after you. He is constantly interceding for you even though you aren’t able to notice because of the piles of worry this life puts on you.
This is why Paul tells us to pray without ceasing, to give thanks in everything because God deserves it. Thank Him for the things He is doing but thank Him for the things He is going to do!
He sees you and His heart is gladdened when you thank Him and give deserving praise to Him.
“Now the angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur. He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.” Then the angel of the LORD said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself to her authority.” Moreover, the angel of the LORD said to her, “I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be too many to count.”” Genesis 16:7-10 NASB
“Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, “You are a God who sees”; for she said, “Have I even remained alive here after seeing Him?” Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi” Genesis 16:13-14a NASB
In this story I find it interesting that Hagar names the WELL Beer-Lahai-Roi. Reminds me of the story of the Samaritan woman at the well when she encounters Jesus. See John chapter 4
Water cleanses us, quenches our thirst, and is symbolic of LIFE! I believe God intentionally met Hagar at the well so he could set up Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman to mirror each other. They were both in distress. They both needed hope. And He showed up for them. He didn’t erase their past, he gave them HOPE for their future.
When we believe in Jesus we will never thirst again! “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.””
John 4:14 NASB
Sometimes I believe that we want resolutions to our problems one way, but the way God answers us is completely off the wall and unexpected and BETTER than anything we could have ever asked Him for!
Oh he see you!
What an amazing assurance that in any situation he sees you and is working all things out for your good! Romans 8:28
